US forces 'not in danger' during Turkish strikes on Syria Kurds

Beirut, Nov 22, 2022 (AFP) — US forces in Syria "were not in danger" during a Turkish cross-border strike Tuesday on a Kurdish base in the country's north, the US military's Central Command said.
"US forces were not in danger. No strikes occurred at locations housing US personnel," Centcom said in a brief statement, adding that the closest strike hit about 20-30 kilometres (12-18 miles) away from US troops.
