The Christians, Yezidis and other religious minorities whose very existence is threatened by the Islamic State’s Jihadists are now sheltered in Kurdistan.
International humanitarian aid provided by the UN agencies and by NGOs is unfortunately still far from meeting the extent of the urgent needs of the more than 1,400,000 displaced people and refugees that Iraqi Kurdistan is trying to absorb.
Everyone can make a personal contribution to this solidarity effort, in accordance with his or her feelings.
The Kurdish Institute proposes to collect contributions aimed at providing schooling for the children.
Because of the distances involved and the high cost of transport, only gifts of money can be accepted.
Sums thus collected will be totally used for on the spot purchases of schoolbooks and stationary and to support the schools organised in the refugee camps.
Since the Kurdish Institute is a State Approved Foundation, 60% of your donations will be your income tax deductable when you include the receipts you will receive with your tax return.
Your donations may be sent either by cheque or directly by Internet.
