
Turkish air raid killed 35 in Iraq border area: official

ANKARA, Dec 29, 2011 (AFP) — Turkish air strikes on Kurdish targets in the Iraqi border area have killed 35 people, the Turkish authorities in the region said, raising an earlier death toll of 23.
"Thirty-five people were killed and another person wounded in an aerial operation in Iraq," the Sirnak provincial governor's office said in a statement.
