"In the coming hours, members of the SDF will be moved with their light weapons to the east of the Euphrates (river)," said a statement from Aleppo's media directorate, referring to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.

Syria's defence ministry earlier announced a ceasefire in the city after several days of clashes and granted the Kurdish fighters a deadline to leave two districts they control.
