Syria Kurds say Turkish hopes of taking Afrin by evening a 'daydream'

Qamishli, Syria, March 14, 2018 (AFP) — A top Syrian Kurdish official said on Wednesday that Turkish hopes of overrunning the Kurdish-controlled city of Afrin by nightfall were just a "daydream."
"It sounds like Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is daydreaming when he says Afrin will fall tonight," said Redur Khalil, a senior official and spokesman of the People's Protection Units (YPG), which hold the city.
