Syria Kurds say 12 civilians killed in 2 days of Turkish strikes

Qamishli, Syria, Jan 28, 2025 (AFP) — The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces said on Tuesday that two days of Turkish strikes had killed 12 civilians in Kurdish-held areas of northern Syria.

SDF spokesman Farhad Shami told AFP that "Turkish drones targeted a popular market in the Sarrin area, killing six civilians and wounding 22" on Tuesday, while shelling of two other areas on Monday and Tuesday had killed six more.
