Several hurt in Turkey bomb blast: security sources

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey, Sept 25, 2012 (AFP) — A bomb exploded in Kurdish-majority southeastern Turkey on Tuesday as a police vehicle passed by, wounding several people, security sources said.

The powerful blast in the centre of Tunceli province destroyed the vehicle, the sources said, and many ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

The explosing caused panic among residents, the private NTV television network reported. It was not immediately clear if there were any deaths.
