Diyarbakir, Turkey, May 12, 2016 (AFP) — A powerful blast hit the Turkish city of Diyarbakir on Thursday, leaving several people dead and at least 10 injured, the interior ministry said.

The blast struck the majority Kurdish city "while PKK militants loaded explosives onto a stolen truck," the ministry said.

The ministry did not specify, however, what exactly had caused the blast, nor was it clear whether the casualties were civilians or Kurdistan Workers Party militants.
