Rocket attack on Kurdish Iraq's Arbil airport was fired by drone: ministry

Arbil, Iraq, April 14, 2021 (AFP) — A rocket attack Wednesday at the airport of Arbil, capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, was carried out by drone, the Kurdish interior ministry said, in an unprecedented escalation of the arms used to target US soldiers based there.
Former Iraqi foreign minister Hoshyar Zebari, a prominent political figure in Kurdistan, meanwhile accused "a militia" of being behind the attack. "It is a grand & regional escalation," he wrote on Twitter.
