Massud Barzani re-elected president of Iraqi Kurdistan

ARBIL, Iraq, July 29, 2009 (AFP) — Massud Barzani was re-elected as president of Iraq's autonomous region of Kurdistan with nearly 70 percent of the vote, according to official results released on Wednesday.
Barzani, who had been widely expected to win, secured 69.57 percent of the popular vote in the elections held at the weekend, the results showed.
