Massive destruction in Kobane after Kurds drive out IS: AFP

Kobane, Syria, Jan 28, 2015 (AFP) — The battle for the Syrian border town of Kobane has caused massive destruction, according to AFP journalists in the town on Wednesday after Kurdish fighters drove out IS militants.
Kurdish forces recaptured the strategic town on the Turkish frontier on Monday in a symbolic blow for the jihadists who have seized swathes of territory in a brutal onslaught across Syria and Iraq.
