Iraqi Kurdistan offers to 'freeze' results of independence vote

Erbil, Iraq, Oct 25, 2017 (AFP) — Iraqi Kurdistan proposed Wednesday to annul the results of its independence referendum, which triggered a major crisis with Baghdad.
Iraq has called for the cancellation of the results of the vote as a precondition for all negotiations and in retaliation has seized large areas of territory held by Kurdish forces.
