Iraq FM promises Turkey to fight Kurdish rebel 'menace'

BAGHDAD, Oct 23, 2007 (AFP) — Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari assured his Turkish counterpart Ali Babacan on Tuesday of Baghdad's active support in combatting the "menace" of Kurdish rebels.
"The Iraqi government will actively help Turkey to overcome this menace," Zebari told reporters at a joint press conference with Babacan.
