Tehran, March 4, 2026 (AFP) — Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Wednesday they had targeted armed opposition groups hostile to Tehran in the autonomous Kurdish region of neighbouring Iraq.

"Bases and headquarters of Komala and anti-revolutionary groups were hit with success by three missilies" launched at 11:00 am (0730 GMT), the Guards said in a statement.

Multiple Kurdish opposition groups exiled in Iraq announced a political coalition last month aimed at overthrowing the Islamic republic and achieving self-determination.
