"By the decision of the honourable head of the judiciary, the death sentence of Ms. Sharifeh Mohammadi was commuted to a first-degree prison sentence (30 years)," lawyer Amir Raisian said on X on Wednesday.
"We are still pursuing the possibility of her conviction being overturned and her acquittal of the charge of rebellion," he added.
Alongside activists Pakhshan Azizi and Varisheh Moradi, Mohammadi had been sentenced to death on charges of "baghi", or rebellion.
Mohammadi, 46, was sentenced in July 2024 following her arrest in the northern city of Rasht, according to rights groups.
She has been accused of being a member of the Komala party, an exiled Iraq-based Kurdish separatist group that Tehran considers a terrorist organisation.
Iran's highest court in October 2024 overturned her death sentence and ordered a retrial.
Tehran accused Kurdish groups in Iraq of fomenting months-long nationwide mass protests triggered by the September 2022 death in custody of Mahsa Amini.
Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian Kurd, died following her arrest over an alleged breach of the Islamic republic's strict dress code for women.
Hundreds of people including dozens of security forces were killed during the protests.
