'Hour of reckoning has come' for Istanbul attack: Turkey

Istanbul, Nov 19, 2022 (AFP) — Turkey's defence ministry on Sunday tweeted a photo of an aircraft taking off for a night-time operation, alongside the words "The hour of reckoning has come".

While the ministry provided no information on the target of the mission, Kurdish-led forces in northern Syria and a Britain-based rights group both said Turkey had carried out air strikes in northern Syria late on Saturday.
