Strasbourg, France, Nov 20, 2018 (AFP) — The European Court of Human Rights on Tuesday condemned Turkey over the detention of pro-Kurdish leader Selahattin Demirtas, saying the move aimed at "stifling pluralism", and asked that he be released.

Demirtas, one of two former co-leaders of the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), was arrested in November 2016 on terror charges over his alleged links to Kurdish militants.
