Erdogan hopes Kurdish-held Afrin 'will fall by evening'

Ankara, March 14, 2018 (AFP) — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday said he hoped that the Kurdish-held Syrian city of Afrin would fall by the evening to Turkish forces who have surrounded it.
"We have got a little bit closer to Afrin. I hope that Afrin will, God willing, have completely fallen by the evening." Erdogan told supporters in a speech in Ankara.
