
Eight police killed in southeast Turkey car bomb attack: report

Istanbul, Aug 26, 2016 (AFP) — Eight Turkish police officers and 45 other people were killed on Friday in a car bomb attack on a police headquarters in the southeastern town of Cizre blamed on Kurdish militants, state media said.
Two of the wounded were in a serious condition after the blast, which was carried out by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), the state-run Anadolu news agency said.
