LONDON, Oct 23, 2007 (AFP) — British Prime Minister Gordon Brown condemned Tuesday "terrorist violence" by the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), after talks with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"We condemn .. absolutely and unequivocally the terrorist violence of (the) PKK," he told reporters, while stressing that London and Ankara would continue to work for a "diplomatic solution" to the latest crisis which has seen Turkey threaten military strikes against PKK bases in northern Iraq.
