Blasts heard near Erbil airport in Iraqi Kurdistan: AFP journalist

Baghdad, April 6, 2026 (AFP) — Two blasts were heard near Erbil airport, which hosts advisers from the US-led anti-jihadist coalition, in Iraq's northern Kurdistan region, an AFP journalist said on Monday.
Since the Middle East war erupted on February 28, shadowy groups have been claiming near daily attacks on US interests in the country and beyond.
