ANKARA, Sept 30, 2013 (AFP) — Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday announced reforms to enhance the rights of the country's Kurdish community, a key step in the peace process.

"This is a historic moment, an important stage," Erdogan told a press conference. Private schools will offer education in Kurdish language, which has long been banned, he said.
