Iraqi Kurds 'being armed by various sources': US official

SYDNEY, Aug 11, 2014 (AFP) — Iraqi Kurds are "being armed by various sources", a US State Department official said Monday, in the fight against Islamic State jihadists.
The official added that "they are getting something rapidly" after the militants made strong gains in Kurdish regions in northern Iraq.
