Ankara, June 8, 2016 (AFP) — A car bomb ripped through a police station on Wednesday in the mainly Kurdish southeast of Turkey, a day after 11 people were killed in an attack in the heart of Istanbul, state-run Anatolia news agency said.

A bomb attack hit a police station in the town of Midyat, said Anatolia, which blamed "terrorists" in a reference to militants from the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). There were no immediate reports of casualties.
